About

Hello! My name is Nicole, and I am The Galley Gourmet. I am the recipe developer, writer, and photographer for this website.

A woman wearing a black apron and polka-dot top chops tomatoes on a wooden cutting board in a bright kitchen with hanging copper pots and kitchen utensils. Sunlight streams through a window above the sink.

Why Galley? I love to cook and bake both sweet and savory delights in my galley kitchen for my family, neighbors, and friends.

Why Gourmet? I take great pleasure in all things food. That smell, that love, that anticipation of a delicious snack or comforting meal prepared by someone who loves you, melts all the day’s worries away. Food is what brings us all together. Food keeps us connected, whether it’s with family, friends, or fellow bloggers. So, here I am, keeping us all connected, creating recipes and memories, one spoonful of sugar and a pinch of salt at a time.

The Galley Gourmet began in September of 2010 as a way to preserve my family’s cherished recipes. It has since evolved into a platform where I share tasty, dependable recipes, kitchen advice, and motivation to empower home cooks to feel both confident and creative in their culinary endeavors. I hold the belief that cooking should be imaginative, fulfilling, and genuinely enjoyable—whether you’re whipping up a quick dinner on a weeknight or preparing a festive meal for the holidays. Come join me in the kitchen! Explore my latest recipes, sign up for my newsletter for inspiration, or simply stay awhile to browse through my archive of good eats.

If you try one of my recipes, I’d be thrilled to hear from you! Leave a comment and a star rating. Your feedback and input not only make my day, but also help others discover The Galley Gourmet. If you’d like to say hello or have a question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at ni****@**************et.net. I genuinely treasure every connection 🫶🏻.
