Ingredients

  • ¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup unseasoned rice vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 ½ teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 medium scallion, roots trimmed and sliced thin
  • 2 teaspoons finely grated fresh ginger on a microplane
  • 1 ½ teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sambal Olek or to taste

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients, gently stirring to dissolve the sugar. Enjoy!

Notes

The sauce is best the day it is made, but it can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
